Residents must queue for day by day rations except they drastically cut back consumption
Cape City residents could lose piped water to their houses inside two months if they don't act to counter the results of the worst drought to hit South Africa’s second metropolis in virtually a century.
Native authorities have warned its four million inhabitants that if they don't cut back consumption by “day zero” – 12 April – they must queue at 200 standpipes for day by day rations of 25 litres (6.6 US gallons).
